As a fond lover of Roland digital pianos I have shared my own love with all of you on this topic. As my site grows I feel that I am doing a disservice by only giving reviews of the best digital pianos that I try out, when there are so many others on the market that I have not had the chance to try. With this in mind I am opening up my blog to guest posts by people who are interested in giving an honest, upfront review (not a sales pitch!!) on a piano that they have tried. For the following I have given a chance of one of my former students Adam Butler, age 28, to give a review on the Roland RD 700 digital piano that he has been using for the past 9 months. Adam was a student of mine for 7 years and now plays locally at bars and concerts in the Cleveland, Ohio area. A graphic designer by day, Adam’s true love is playing music on the weekends and in the summer at a variety of hot spots in Ohio.
The Roland RD 700 is simply fantastic and draws everyone towards it, thereby gaining appreciation and admiration from anyone concerned. It is a wonderful piece of artistry and the engineering embedded in it is simply superb giving a satisfactory customer opinion.
Long before, everyone had a fascination for pianos and desired to possess the same in their respective homes which were not possible most of the time. The main reason behind this was the vast space occupied by it and the huge cost which were at times beyond the means of many people. With lot of pianos being modernized with time, we now have digital pianos with modified tones and the size of it has been considerably reduced which makes it convenient to be possessed and loved by all. Roland RD 700 excels in all such criteria, besides it has awesome features that makes it surpass others in terms of everything. May it be an acoustic grand piano or an electric piano, it serves the purpose meticulously and satisfies the player to the fullest.
It is the player who is the best judge of such a situation since it is none other than him who is involved in playing or making a wonderful melody thereby creating a piece of artistic excellence. The operations needs to be at the tip of his fingers and must be mastered well. In this regard this keyboard has a striking feature that needs to be noted. It has a wide LCD, which displays the mode of operation clearly, moreover a special feature that involves its memory. The internal wave memory is massive of that of 64 megabytes and produces stereo sampled piano sounds that gives a nice satisfaction to the player and a wonderful sensational audio to the listeners. It comes handy in stage shows and performances with the terrific progressive hammer action keyboard. This is something special and new and it makes the sound very nippy and responsive than ever bringing out the master class of the player’s performance who may be playing it in any mode like Jazz, Pop etc.
Sound editing and engineering is simplified with this keyboard that has 88 playable notes, supplemented with wide range of other sounds that can be blended with the tune to give it a lovely feeling in the background. The keyboard which is also an acoustic piano gives a new dimension to tune play, besides it also looks attractive on the eye. The key tops with ivory feeling gives a wonderful touch, moreover the ‘notch’ in the keystroke makes it feel to be a replica of the acoustic piano.
One cannot ignore the matter of budget when he aspires to possess such a wonderful masterpiece that makes the taste of music more sweet and soulful. With wide range of playable notes, wonderful function display, superb user comfort and greatness in sound engineering offered in the device, one may feel it to be beyond the budget. Roland 700 RD also surpasses the expectations in this matter and is available at affordable prices, giving a clear voice to the pockets of everyone who aspires to have it.
